The Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, says he is so hopeful that the just ended ‘Love Malawi Festival’ will bear fruits in as far as Christianity and doing the will of God is concerned.
President Chakwera said this through a recorded message that was telecast at the event which started on Friday 1st October to Sunday 3rd October at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHES) ground, formerly known as College of Medicine (COM).
In his message, whilst quoting Hebrews 3, verse 15 that reads: ‘As just been said: “today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in rebellion’, the Malawi leader said he expect believers to be doing what evangelist Andrew Palau preached.
Chakwera who once served as president of the Assemblies of God church, added that the coming of Palau to Malawi is a blessings in disguise and he has since urged believers to make use of it.
“My prayer to all of you is that you will hear God’s voice, see his work, feel his love and experience his power” said Chakwera
In his sermon Palau reminded believers the reason why Jesus Christ gave his life to set a founding stone on the road to salvation.
The international evangelist said: “If you hear nothing else, know that God loves you and the most amazing thing is that He came to give us eternal life through Jesus Christ and the cross He died on to prepare you for Heaven.”
This was the second edition of the Love Malawi Festival as the first one was held in the capital Lilongwe back in 2016.
The event that kept the commercial city’s streets very busy, saw mesmerizing performances from local music icons such as; Skeffa Chimoto, Faith Mussa, Kelvin Sings, Ndirande Anglican Voices and not forgetting Kamuzu Barracks.
On the international scene, in this year’s Love Malawi Festival, Don Moen stunned the crowd as he had the crowd waving to ‘thank you Lord’, and ‘Arise’.
To make it more memorable and so attractive to all ages, organizers included children’s programs, kids fun zone and it also had sports session with fun riding of BMX bicycles and FMX motorbikes.
