Off the domineering effects of Covid-19, sensational acts Cozizwa & Kelvin Sings have gone out of their comfort zone in ‘Ngiyabonga’, their first collaboration since they both started off in music.
The song marks Cozizwa’s debut solo collaboration following the success of his first 2020 release ‘Ikadzapanga Expire’ another hit single following the success of the likes of ‘Zikili’. While for Kelvin Sings ‘Ngiyabonga’ represents a fulfilment of a long standing wish as he was looking forward to collaborating with Cozizwa, his self-confessed fan.
In an exclusive interview with zambuye.com, Cozizwa says that the single represents his resolve to continue exploring new frontiers as he has recorded it on an unfamiliar genre, Kwaito which he has blended with Malawian traditional rhythms.
Despite admitting that the year continues to be challenging the ‘Miyala’ hitmaker has looked beyond the discomforts by reflecting on the brighter side of life. In his opinion 2020 is a blessings in disguise saying; “In tough times like these, big lessons are learnt and deeper things are revealed.”
Looking at glance into the yet to released video to ‘Ngiyabonga’, Cozizwa has disclosed that it will come along with behind the scenes visuals and interviews.
