The country’s renowned gospel artist, Thoko Katimba, has expressed disapointments over failure to enforce laws on covid-19 preventive measures by citing political campaigns happening in some parts of the country.

According to the remarks and images displayed on his Facebook page, the soft-spoken musician said that the measures are a true sign of segregation, as same laws are enforced on others whilst others it’s business as usual.

“It’s business as usual, simply because it’s them doing it. No social distance, law enforcement or anything to do with covid-19 preventive measures.”

“Koma oyimbafe kungolengeza zoti tili ndi show, mpaka muwona kutuluka akasinja shuwa. Selfishness to the highest degree,” continued the artist.

Commenting on the matter, one of Katimba’s followers said, “It’s really pathetic that when it comes to campaigning, it’s business as usual, but when it comes to other things, they are too strict”.

And another who claims to be a music artists, said, “I recorded my album, but I’m failing to release it since shows were banned”.

The preventive measures set by the task-force include: putting on masks, social distancing, avoiding overcrowded places, plus many others.
