Organisers of Gospel Centric Concert dubbed Summer Sounds, the Living Worship says all is set for this year’s show where among others they are to advocate against Gender Based Violence.

Themed; “Stop Gender Based Violence”, the event is scheduled for 20 December at Kanjedza Assemblies of God in Blantyre.

According to Living Worship director, Blessings Gondwe this year marks 2 years since budding of the concert, which he explained they intend to make it to an annual Christian event to bring on-board various gospel artists in Malawi and beyond.

Gondwe said; “It’s not just a concert it’s a brand we are trying to build that will be coming every end year we hope to grow and become one of the big Gospel Music Festival in Malawi.”

“We did one last year as our starting point. So this is second, and we have really pushed it further bring the finest musicians of Malawi, likes of Shammah vocals, Saxess & Mcluther and many more. And we have given this year’s concert a theme “Stop Gender Based Violence.”

Unlike last year’s event Gondwe explained that this year’s sounds is more organised in line with the intended theme and they have bring on board Sindie Golden, a female songbird from Lilongwe to echo on what women are facing.

He said; “The message is that men are advocating for the fight. We are there to cry with the women that are in fear of what will happen to them. We hope to have a guest from ministry of gender to raise the awareness”

“Each of main act will share something against gender based violence. As a church we will join to pray for Malawi as whole.” –He added

Founded in 2017 by Blessings Gondwe, Living worship has been ministering in Christian community as a musical group, but they have also been involved in various charity activities such as visiting orphanages, street kids and elderly women.
