Blantyre based Ndirande Anglican Voices have assured Christian music fans of an exceptional performance when the award winning choral group marks a comeback to live performances this month in Mangochi, following months of a break due to Covid-19 restrictions.

This comes as the group is set to perform as an opening act during the official double launch of a DVD and Audio CD of Malindi Anglican Gospel Kings scheduled for 17 October at St Martin’s Anglican Church in the lakeshore district of Mangochi.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with zambuye.com, Ndirande Anglican Voices’ front man Dennis Kalimbe said the choir has “mastered a lot” despite Covid-19 hitting them hard. He added, “Our performance will be exceptional. People in Malindi should expect nothing but the best.”

The vocalist went on to state that they decided to be part of the ceremony at Malindi because the chorale believes in oneness aside the fact that supporting Malindi Anglican Gospel Kings will encourage their Mangochi based contemporaries to work even harder in their next projects.

Dennis has said this as Ndirande Anglican Voices offered Malindi Anglican Gospel Kings what he calls free advice on vocal arrangement on some of their songs on the soon to be launched project including assisting their church mates chose a suitable recording studio.

In his opinion, Malindi Anglican Gospel Kings’ new album is far much better than their previous works. “It shows a huge improvement in terms of both vocal arrangement and instrumentation”, he observed.

Widely considered as one of the most popular Christian music groups of this generation, Ndirande Anglican Voices have been in existence for two decades. They have six albums to their credit including their debut “Ndasaina”, “Mulungu Amatikondera” and their latest “Namondwe Tonthola.”
