Joyful Souls Silver Jubilee Concert This Saturday

The country’s contemporary gospel Acapella group, Joyful Souls, is expected to storm Blantyre as part of their 25 years of existence anniversary celebrations.

This Saturday ,19th December ,the joyful souls will celebrate their 25th Anniversary in style by performing at Golden Peacock in the commercial city together with Patience Namadingo.

In a statement,the Group’s Music Director, Rodgers Mpinganjira said that the preparations have been finalised and all is set for the event.

“There has been progress in our preparations and I can confirm that all is set for the event. Looking also at our e-sales, I  can say the support we are getting is overwhelming. We are grateful” He said.

Mpinganjira said ,” We working around the clock to ensure that we give our fans the best concert experiencing deserving a Silver Jubilee celebration. This is an event that each and every single soul that will attend will have a personal encounter, a moment they will live to cherish”. 

While describing the group’s music journey as successful and interesting, Mpinganjira assured their fans that they should expect lots of goodies and more messages from God through their music.

“We have won souls to Christ as our primary objective, we have 3 albums and numerous collaborations locally and internationally,all in all,we have grown towards perfection and I must say, growth is a continuous process”, He said.

Some of the outstanding achievements include  winning the 2013 CARA awards as the Best Contemporary recorded album, sharing the stage with the South Africa’s Lady Smith Black Mambazo , Durant  from the US, Power and Stand both from Zimbabwe.

The 3 albums the group has are Tidzauluka, Adzaweruza released in 2008 , which featured what has seemingly been many people’s favourite – The God of second Chance and the third album is Abweranso released in 2012.
