The international gospel reggae community should brace itself for a 13 track Gratitude Riddim slated for release on 15th November, with artists from Jamaica, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Zambia.
International Christian reggae dancehall community has collaborated on a new project in a bid to strengthen and bring together artists from across the world.
In an interview, the project coordinator, Sir Creedy, said the aim is to see gospel reggae dancehall artists form a strong community.
“This is the first international riddim but it’s not the last,” he emphasised.
From Malawi, the riddim features Saxess, Aika, Monicah, Sir Creedy and Crucked Colour.
Monicah’s piece, GPS already released last Monday is picking up, slowly gaining airplay, get it here:
It also features Sobre and DJ Sanctified from Zambia, Wadiwa Musiq and Collie Turflex from Zimbabwe, JSaviour from Kenya as well as Da Journey and Muzikman from Jamaica.
Commenting on the production process, Sir Creedy said, “I approached some of the artists and some of them jumped on it after hearing about the riddim.”
“Actually, everybody recorded with their own producers and sent the final piece, except for me, Monicah and Aika. We recorded at Classics records with producer, Madela.”
The project is being sponsored by Ben Beats and Sir Creedy’s Whooyi Music.
