 All Set for KUHeS Gospel Show on Saturday

Preparations for Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) gospel explosion show slated for this Saturday October 9, are at an advanced stage.

This is according to Gift Chikaonda who is the vice president of KUHeS (formerly Kamuzu College of Nursing – KCN) Blantyre campus, Students Representative Council (SRC).

In an interview with Zambuye.com, Chikaonda said so far all the invited artists have confirmed their presence to the long awaited show which he said shall be held at the institution’s Kameza campus from 1 PM up until the sunset.

However, he said this annual event which is organized by the institution’s Religious Directorate, will only be open for students from their two campuses that’s; Kameza and Mahatima Gandhi respectively.

“So far so good, preparations are going on well, we are at an advanced stage. All the invited artists have confirmed their presence to this mega show at the campus. The program has been sent to them and they are satisfied with it.

“But, considering the issues of COVID-19 pandemic, this show is open for students from Kameza and Mahatima Gandhi campuses only and it’s free of charge since part of funds have been taken from their annual subscription fees,” Said Chikaonda.

The SRC vice president further said KUHeS Religious Directorate thought of having this big saying them as medical and nursing people, they do need God in all aspects of their lives.

Chikaonda continued to say they noticed that as health specialists, they can’t serve well if they are lacking Gods’ wisdom, power and courage hence the show which he said will boost the student’s spiritual morale.

“The Directorate saw it wise to involve God in whatever we do in our lives, so one way of doing so is to let them come and preach the gospel through music. We are so sure that by the end of the show, our lives won’t be the same again,” he added.

Some of the artists performing at the show include: Dr Ethel Kamwendo Banda, sharp voiced Shammah Vocalz, ‘Ndizatchedwa’ star Sillah and not forgetting the Ndirande Anglican Voices just to mention a few.
