 Wendy Harawa’s Collabo Win Maranatha USA Award

A song done by Malawi’s female gospel musician, Wendy Harawa together with Guardian Angel from Kenya, ‘Akuwona’ has won the Best Collaboration Song of the year, 2021 at the the Maranatha USA awards.

This comes as earlier this year, Harawa got nominated for Female Minister of the Year and Best Collaboration for the ‘Akuwona’ song which is enjoying plays on international television stations such as; Trace Gospel and One Gospel.

Confirming the good news was Harawa who on Sunday through her facebook page thanked Africans for giving the song votes.

“Am so excited. Thank you Malawi, Africa and beyond for your votes in the M.A USA award in this category “Akuwona” ft guardian angel – best collaboration song, global uprising (1st runner up) is on its way home to me. We did it, glory to God,” posted Harawa on her facebook wall.

Harawa was nominated along with Chigo Grace whose ‘Better Is a Day’ song was nominated for Best Prophetic Song award, while her ‘No longer I’ song was nominated for the Best Thanksgiving Song and her ‘Munoshamisa Mwari’ got nominated for Best Adoration Worship Song.

This is the second time Harawa has scooped an international award since joining gospel music as in 2019 she won Supplication Song Award at Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards in Kenya in a song she collaborated with Lulu and Jimmy D Psalmist, ‘Chisomo’.

Since her transitioning, Harawa has featured international gospel musician including: Guardian Angel, Ugandan Levixone, Namibian Maranatha-Kuhambelela and Zambian Abel Chungu.

Maranatha Awards Global which is facilitated by the Maranatha Global Revival Networks, is a United States of America (USA) programme seeking to acknowledge effective kingdom diplomacy globally.
