 THE MARVELOUS DEEDS RESURFACE WITH CELEBRATION CONCERT

The celebrated Gospel music trio, The Marvelous Deeds, says it is geared to give out the outstanding performance at the Marvelous celebration concert scheduled for 1 January 2021 at Robins Park in Blantyre.

Through the celebration the trio intends to unveil its blueprint for the next five years as well as introducing new songs from their upcoming album to be released in 2021.

According one of the group members, An Sanena since the launch of its album ‘Back to Sender’ on 10th June 2017 at BICC in Lilongwe the trio has been on their toes yearning and aspiring various means of appreciating the unwavering support from their fans hence the genesis of the celebration.

Sanena said; “Our journey started back in 2001 but it took us four years to get organized and release our first ever album in 2005, and throughout the years it has been a roller coaster journey full of fun, joy and salvation which is a valid reason for us to testify on what God has done on our side.”

“This is an ongoing project we launched it at the start of this year, at Sheaffer ICA Marquee, and in year 2021 we are going to Blantyre as it is now, the other year we will be going to Mzuzu City.”

Among the acts programmed to perform at the concert include; Shammah Vocals, Great Angels Choir, Clara Ngulube, Saxess, Thocco Katimba, Eliza Mponya and Ennoh K.

As part of celebration the marvelous deeds has also planned to engage in corporate social responsibility as two days prior to the event they are to visit the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where they will present gifts and good will messages among others.

“This is a family celebration as we always encourage parents to come with children because we provide jumping castles for them and play grounds as parents are celebrating with gospel artists. We always start by cheering the sick in hospital in this case we will go to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) before the start of the show.”

Sanena also disclosed plans that the trio is set to launch the group as a company which shall be comprised of record label that will see local upcoming artists being unearthed and promoted.

He said; “As we are planning for the 5th album this coming year we also have plans for a CD launch tour and this is another dimension we are taking as today we have named it MARVELOUS CELEBRATION we will be going in different places to identify artist that cannot manage to come up with an album we will be featuring and promote them on this brand.”

Having released their first album Matamando in 2005 which had headline song  Andigwile Ndani?, The marvelous deeds rose to fame in 2009 with their album Mulinane Cholinga that had hit-song Mfumu Mukhale, in 2013 they released Sanathane Nane album that had Chimwemwe Changa hit-song that toped gospel charts and then in 2017 the trio released the Back to Sender album.

Throughout their music journey the group has also been participating in a number of major events in the country such as being regular gospel performers of Sand Music Festival and Blantyre Arts Festival, in 2015 they were the best gospel group in the Music Union of Malawi Awards.
