After failing to host the concert last year due to COVID 19 restriction measures, The Country’s veteran gospel Minister Thoko Suya, is back at it: This Friday she is hosting Timuyimbire concert at the City Pentecostal Church in Blantyre.

Organized with the aim of providing an opportunity for worshippers to gather together and have quality time of worship before God, the event will see Suya performing songs from her own composition as well as collection of hymns both recorded and unrecorded.

In an interview with the artist’ manager Chris Suya, the concert will also serve as a medium of offering thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness.

He said, “The concert also serves as a thanksgiving opportunity to God for His faithfulness in our lives. The year 2021 has been extremely painful in many aspects and we need to offer Him our gratitude”.

This year becomes the second year since Suya started hosting such concerts, the first happened in 2019 and was held in Blantyre and Lilongwe. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the artist failed to hosts the concert in 2020.

Suya stated singing at an early age and growing up she has been singing at Kasungu, Zomba and Ndirande Living waters churches. Her first album Ndimamakuonda mamuna wamtanda was released in 2005, Amandikonda yesu came in 2008 and Adzandinyamula m’manja mwake was released in 2014 after the artist’ battle over her deadly illness.

With no charges at the door, the concert is expected to start from 6pm to 10pm.
