“Start living a purpose-driven life” Says Choba in ‘Kamodzi’

A collaborative masterpiece of two gifted Musicians, Christian rapper Choba and dancehall maestro, Don Tarz has just hit over 10, 000 downloads.

Being Choba’s first single for 2022 the waiting was worth it.

Titled ‘Kamodzi’ was produced by Videlio and Dkez Walker and is already enjoying airplay on a number of radio shows, including Malawi’s only syndicated show, ‘the Radio Experience’ which airs on five radio stations.

Choba whose real name is Chris Chanza detailed on the message in the song when he spoke with zambuye.com.

“My song asks people to start living a purpose-driven life. As you make decisions avoid things that may get you out of the safe space. This song is exactly what people need to hear,” he said.

The Lilongwe-based artist continued explaining that the deaths of many people he never imagined losing so fast motivated him to write the song which he would use as a channel to communicate to those that are still alive.

“Life gives us a second chance every day to start all over again. We must utilize this chance because when we die we are never coming back again to make things right. I’m sure the dear ones we lost would have loved to play Kamodzi for us to grab the message. Let us cling to who we are serving,” he elaborated.

The upcoming star who switched to the gospel field in 2017 told zambuye.com that it has been an interesting experience in this genre, tough to break through but great as it is bringing an impact.

Choba pointed out that he will be shooting the video for the song. He did forget to mention that he plans on releasing an EP soon. Kamodzi is available for streaming on ZAMBUYE.COM.
