With South African Gospel Music Colossus Sipho ‘Big fish’ Makhabane, Ugandan Gospel Star Levixon already in the country, the Sunday Gospel experience at this year’s Sandfest promises to beat its own record.

For the first time in Sand Music Festival history, there is a headliner for gospel music on Sunday.

Lucius Banda, Director at Impakt Events, who are organizers of Sand Music Festival said: “in the past we only had headliners for the first and second day with gospel being sidelined but we are having a new crowd for Sunday this year… We are happy that we are giving people variety and for the first time as a festival we have a headliner for gospel music on Sunday…”

The Over and Over Again hitmaker, Sipho Makhabane arrived in the country Wednesday, welcomed by Wendy Harawa of Impakt Events and a musician who is also expected to perform on Sunday.

“Sand Music Festival will be on fire come Sunday as I share the stage with Sipho” Harawa said.

Recently Wendy Harawa worked with Ugandan Gospel Artist, Levixone in a song titled Zikomo. Levixone arrived in the country Wednesday for the Sunday Gospel performance at the Sundfest.

Announcing his arrival, Levixone on Facebook he made a post with hashtag #Jesus2TheWorld.

An excited Soldier Lucius Banda who is scheduled to share the stage with Makhabane, expressed excitement via Facebook saying “Sunday at the Sand Festival will be my most exciting day because that’s when I will perform for th first time this year alongside the legendary Sipho Makhabane from South Africa and local gospel gurus”.

Some of the Gospel greats billed to perform include Princess Chitsulo, Billy Kaunda, Great Angels Chir.
