One of the popular Choirs, Ndirande Anglican Voices is this weekend staging a 20th Anniversary Concert.

With Thocco Katimba, Favoured Martha, King James Phiri and Kamuzu Barracks gospel singers as some of the guest performers, Robins Park is expected to be filled to the brim.

According to the Choir’s lead singer Dennis Kalimbe, the concert has been organised to celebrate the 20 years of its existence and ministering through music since it started.

Kalimbe told zambuye.com that throughout the years, God has taken them from victory to victory and all these achievements are worth celebration.

Kalimbe said, “20 years of ministering the word of God through music has been exciting and at some point, the journey hasn’t been easy. As a choir, we have been almost to every corner of this country and outside Malawi ministering through music. We have managed to send our members to school and most of them are now graduates from known universities. In short, the Lord has been great to us”.

He continued, “The support and feedback from our fans through the 20 years of ministry has been overwhelming. People have supported us in all forms and we are very thankful for that”.

To date, the choir has managed to release 6 albums and currently they are working on a new album. Names of the albums include; Ndasaina, Tiyeni tonse, Mulungu Amatikondera, Ndasamba m’manja, zimandikwanira and Namondwe Tonthola.

Speaking to this publication, popular gospel music Minister Steve Wazisomo Muliya said what the choir has managed to showcase in the 20 years of its existence is the manifestation of the workings of God.

Muliya said, “This is the choir that personally I’ve enjoyed listening to, It is the choir that has inspired me ever since I ventured into music ministry. Its richness in talent, composition, song arrangement, discipline, spirit of humility from leadership to members is something we can’t fail to praise, This is God at work”.

“Existing and celebrating 20 years of it’s existence is something that everyone including gospel musicians should celebrate. I have worked with the choir and I know how full of the spirit they are, starting from leadership to members, everyone knows what they are doing and I’ll say, it is the best in this county”.

The Concert at Robins park will start at exactly 12pm and charges on the door is K2000 per head.
