Aubrey Kaima, better known as AubKay, has released ‘Vakukho’ as his fourth single for the year 2022. The song, produced by Nyanda and released on June 4th, follows ‘Fanana, Wandigwera, and Are you the one.’
When speaking with zambuye.com, AubKay emphasized the song’s message, saying, “It’s an appeal to the people. We are so preoccupied with and enjoying our sinful acts that we have forgotten that Jesus Christ died for us. Talk of corruption and suicides; they have become the norm. Our living systems are causing havoc in our spiritual and religious lives.”
The Nkhatabay-based artist, who began recording in 2019, cited Kelvin Sings as an inspiration and role model in the industry. He also admitted that his church, the Seventh-day Adventist, helped him develop a love of music. He stated his motivation for choosing the gospel genre as “to minister the gospel that Jesus brought.”
AubKay is currently working on an EP called ‘Revelations 2’ which is almost done. In his final remarks, AubKay left a word for his fellows.
“We are born to fulfill a purpose and we have the capacity to make that happen. Let’s keep pushing until we get there,” he pinpointed.
Vakukho is already playing in the local media on EI radio experience and out for streaming on zambuye.com.
